FAQ

  • What makes The O.C. Channel insole different from other brands?
By some estimates, 77% of the population over-pronates (all overpronation feet as a tight plantar fascia) during walking and running, to some degree. That's 3 out of 4 people. Those who over-pronate are; 1) more susceptible to foot/ankle injury, like ankle sprains and plantar fasciitis, hamstring, and back issues and 2) are putting their entire body at risk. The O.C. Channel technologies were invented to severely reduce tension on the plantar fascia and correct feet deviations. The OC Channel is a patented design and is recognized as a UNIQUE solution to release plantar fasciitis and liberate heel spur. People with pain related to plantar fasciitis and heel spur will tell you how much you can become dysfunctional since you hardly can walk with that pain. The only technology patented that really works. This new technology was proven for more than 25 years specially with professional athletes from many professional sport leagues like NHL, PGATOUR NBA, APIN SKI , .. that require stability, sturdy base, comfort, and performance. The technology will not only release the plantar fasciitis and liberate heel spur but will also prevent injuries.arch support, memory foam, and other orthotic features are unlike any other in the marketplace and will need a little time for your feet to adjust. Now you found the REVOLUTIONARY SOLUTION that will change your life. This is real. It has made its proof. Even professional athletes like Tommy Armour III, a golf professional on the PGA Tour is endorsing the technology since he has benefit from it for over 23 years. See the testimony of Tommy Armour III.
  • What is the break in period for orthotic?
The O.C. Channel was conceived to relief plantar fasciitis and liberate heel spur. You can break in the orthotics by wearing them for a couple of hours a day for a week or two, to allow your feet to adjust to the new support that O.C. Channel orthotics provide. Within a week, you should find the orthotic to be completely comfortable and provide the expected results.
  • How often should I replace my orthotics?
It all depends on how often you will use the orthotics. We recommend our customers to replace their orthotics every 6 to 9 months. Even a great way to determine when to change your orthotics is when you don’t feel the right support and relief expected.
  • How do I choose the right O.C.Channel insole for me?
The O.C. Channel is a specific insole for Plantar fasciitis and heel spur pain. You may start by your arch height and see if it is low or flat, medium arch or high arch. If your foot trace is observed by a trace covering your entire foot, a “flat” foot, your stride type is generally pronator type. And conversely, if your trace is thin, you only see the tip of your heel and your toes; your stride type is generally supinator type. Neutral (medium) arch If the middle part of your arch is about half filled, this means you have a neutral arch. Your arch naturally supports your body weight and pronates, or rolls in, under a normal load. Flat (low) arch If your footprint looks like a complete foot, then you have a flat arch. Your arch probably collapses when you walk or run. Your low arches may contribute to muscle stress and joint problems. High arch If you see little of your footprint, you likely have a high arch. High arches may cause excessive strain on joints and muscles.

  • i’ve been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. which insole helps?
People with pain related to plantar fasciitis and heel spur will tell you how much you can become dysfunctional since you hardly can walk with that pain. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions causing heel pain. It involves inflammation of the plantar fascia — a tough, fibrous band of tissue that runs along the sole of the foot. The plantar fascia attaches to the heel bone (calcaneus) and to the base of the toes. It helps support the arch of the foot and has an important role in normal foot mechanics during walking. Tension or stress in the plantar fascia increases when you place weight on the foot, such as withstanding. The tension also increases when you push off on the ball of the foot and toes. Both of these motions occur during normal walking or running. With overuse or in time, the fascia loses some of its elasticity or resilience and can become irritated with routine daily activities. The O.C. Channel technology was designed to release the tension on the fascia and liberate heel spur. The results of the patent research confirm that the technology used for The OC Channel is UNIQUE and it is the first technology ever invented and patented for plantar fasciitis and heel spur issues. It is how the arch of the foot is firmly supported while the tension is released on the fascia and heel spur is liberated. It’s all about the longitudinal channel and how it is aligned under the foot. The only technology patented that really works. This new technology was proven for more than 30 years specially with professional athletes from many professional sport leagues like NHL, PGA, NBA, ALPIN SKI , etc.. that require stability, sturdy base, comfort, and performance. The technology will not only release the plantar fasciitis and liberate heel spur but will also prevent injuries.
  • I have flat feet, which insole should i choose?
The O.C. Channel insole if offering 3 different arch models: Normal, Low and High arches. You need to choose the Low arch model for a flat foot.
  • Why the O.C. Channel is a unique technology to relieve foot pain?

The technology will not only release the plantar fasciitis and liberate heel spur but will also prevent injuries. Finally, an innovation, a revolution in the field of foot orthotics to relieve foot pain. Foot pain, heel pain (Lenoir's thorn) and inflammation of the arch of the foot affect more than 2 billion people worldwide. Statistics show that 48% of these people are looking for a solution via the internet. The reality is that there are no quick fixes that seem to really relieve the associated symptoms. Existing treatments today are invasive, painful, expensive or a combination of these. Just think about: 1) The cortisone injection which is painful and which in some cases can damage the cartilage of the joint or deteriorate the tendons in the injected area, (not to mention the delays of access to a doctor can be excessively long) 2) Radial shockwave therapy that is excessively painful and expensive. 3) All absorbent cushions (soles) found in all pharmacies that are "not a technology": they only offer absorption 4) Not to mention all the orthotics under prescription of a health professional or all the treatments of physio, masso, osteo, chiro, kine and so on ... which can be excessively expensive in the end without too many results on the symptoms ... Plantar fasciitis is pain arising from the thick strip of tissue that extends from the heel to the base of the toes. Lenoir's spur is a small bony outgrowth of the heel bone. Walkers, runners and athletes are familiar with this often-debilitating reality. Obesity and physical inactivity are also risk factors for developing it. People who work standing for long periods of time are not spared.
  • Why the O.C. channel is a foot orthosis accessible to all?
The other certainty is that only 1% of the population suffering from symptoms related to Lenoir's spur and plantar fasciitis can afford personalized orthotics because of the high cost. This is what prompted and inspired inventor Marc Cormier to make available the technology he has been using for more than thirty years and which will be inserted into a prefabricated orthosis. This will offer sufferers an optimization of healing without heel pain in a few minutes and a resorption of the Lenoir spur more quickly by wearing this orthosis affordable to all. Above all, it allows athletes and all sufferers to quickly resume their favorite activities, walk, run or go about their daily tasks without delay. The technology is also recognized by doctors and physiotherapists.
  • Is the OC. Channel performing well?
By making his technology accessible, the inventor's goal is to relieve heel and arch pain for as many people as possible at reasonable costs. Marc Cormier has always hoped to help suffering people with little means. In addition, the orthosis will offer results at 70% and more.
  • What we never told you about the real causes of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs...
What we never told you about the real causes of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs... • Genetics. It is possible that arch hypertension is genetic. • Sagging and hypertension of the arch of the foot. High arch pressure can cause a tear or stretch that will cause inflammation all the way to the heel. This causes a bony growth in the heel called Lenoir’s spine. The causes you know: • Obesity • Sedentary lifestyle • Age • Physical overactivity • Work standing for long hours • Wrong shoe We are talking here about risk factors and/or sources of activities which will eventually lead to a high possibility of suffering from plantar fasciitis and heel spur. Note: 80% of people with flat feet will be affected.
